It notifies users of incoming messages, such as calls, texts, emails and alerts, delivers a preview of those messages. It also has a built-in speaker to allow users to conduct hands-free calls directly from the watch.
The Galaxy Gear will be launched with the Galaxy Note 3 in more than 140 countries around the world starting from September 25.
Meanwhile Qualcomm has also confirmed that it will launch its own-branded smartwatch in 4Q13.

Users will be able to manage smartphone calls, text messages, meeting reminders and various notifications from the device. Developers also will be able to use Qualcomm’s AllJoyn framework to send program notifications to the smartwatch.
The vendor added that it will continue adding functionality through software upgrades.
